Crop images to exact coordinates.
About this tool
The Image Crop Tool lets you select a rectangular region of any image and export just that portion. It's ideal for creating profile photos, thumbnails, social media visuals, or focusing on a specific subject within a larger photo.
How it works
- Upload your image using the file picker or drag and drop.
- Drag across the image preview to select an area, or enter exact X/Y coordinates and width/height in pixels.
- Click Preview crop to inspect the selected area.
- Download the cropped image (saved as PNG).
Example use cases
- Profile photo: Crop a group photo to a 1:1 square centered on one person for a clean profile picture.
- YouTube thumbnail region: Crop a 16:9 region from a landscape photo to use as a YouTube thumbnail without resizing the original.
Frequently asked questions
How do I specify the crop area?
Enter X and Y values for the top-left corner of your crop region (X=0, Y=0 is the image's top-left corner), then enter the width and height you want to keep - all in pixels.
Does cropping reduce file quality?
No - cropping only removes pixels outside the selection. The remaining area retains its original quality. The output is saved as PNG.
