HTML Minifier
Strip whitespace and comments from HTML.
About this tool
The HTML Minifier removes whitespace, comments, and redundant attributes from HTML source code, reducing page size and improving load speed. Minified HTML is functionally identical to the original but takes fewer bytes to transfer.
How it works
- Paste your HTML code into the input field.
- Click Minify to compress it.
- Review the size reduction (bytes saved) shown in the output.
- Copy the minified HTML and deploy it in place of the original.
Example use cases
- Email template: Minify a 12 KB HTML email template to under 8 KB to reduce send size and stay within ESP payload limits.
- Static webpage: Minify a landing page's HTML to remove 2-3 KB of whitespace and comments, shaving milliseconds off Time to First Byte.
Frequently asked questions
Will minification break my HTML?
In almost all cases, no. The minifier preserves all structural tags and attributes. If a script relies on specific whitespace in template literals, test the minified output before deploying.
Should I minify HTML or let my server/CDN do it?
If your server or CDN offers automatic HTML minification (many do), prefer that approach so you always work with readable source. Use this tool for one-off files or when automatic minification isn't available.
