GPA Calculator
Calculate a credit-weighted semester GPA from grades or marks.
About this tool
The GPA Calculator computes a credit-weighted semester average from course credits and either letter grades on an illustrative 4.0 scale or percentage marks mapped through editable 0-4 point bands. It does not support a 5.0 scale.
How it works
- Add each course you completed this semester.
- Choose letter grades or marks. For marks, check and edit the example percentage-to-point bands to match your institution's rules.
- Enter credits and the grade or percentage mark for each course.
- The calculator weights each course's points by credits and displays the resulting GPA.
- Remove or edit any entry to recalculate instantly.
Example use cases
- Semester check: Three courses: A in 3-credit Maths, B+ in 4-credit English, and C+ in 2-credit History give (3×4.0 + 4×3.3 + 2×2.3) ÷ 9, or about 3.31 on the built-in letter scale.
- Scholarship eligibility: Try different expected grades to explore how they change the weighted semester estimate; confirm scholarship rules with your institution.
